Event type: Technical Advisory Committee Meeting
The 4th Meeting of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) will bring together internationally renowned scientists and experts to provide strategic guidance on COMSATS' scientific and technological programmes. The meeting will focus on strengthening research excellence, advancing innovation, reviewing priorities of the COMSATS Network of Centres of Excellence, and fostering international scientific cooperation to address emerging sustainable development challenges.
The Committee will also deliberate on strengthening institutional collaboration, promoting science-driven policy support, and enhancing the impact of COMSATS initiatives in advancing science, technology, and innovation across the Global South.
Functions of the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)
The Technical Advisory Committee serves as COMSATS' principal scientific advisory body and performs the following key functions:
- Reviews and advises on the research and training priorities of the COMSATS Network of Centres of Excellence.
- Assesses the scientific merit of institutions proposed for membership in the COMSATS Network and recommends suitable institutions to the COMSATS Coordinating Council.
- Constitutes Specialized Committees, where necessary, comprising distinguished scientists and technologists to provide expert advice in specific scientific and technological disciplines.
