The COMSATS Centre for Climate and Sustainability (CCCS) will participate in the 31st session of the Conference of the Parties (COP31) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), scheduled to be held in Antalya, Türkiye, from 9–20 November 2026.

As COMSATS' dedicated platform for advancing science, technology, and innovation (STI) for climate action, CCCS will engage with governments, international organizations, research institutions, development partners, and other stakeholders to contribute to global dialogue on climate adaptation, mitigation, resilience, and sustainable development.

Building on COMSATS' longstanding engagement in the UNFCCC process, the delegation will participate in technical discussions, policy dialogues, networking events, and collaborative initiatives while providing science-based solutions and South-South cooperation approaches for addressing climate challenges in developing countries.

COMSATS-CCCS at COP31

During COP31, COMSATS-CCCS will:

  • Participate in high-level and technical sessions organized under the UNFCCC process.
  • Organize and co-organize side events in collaboration with international partners.
  • Promote science, technology, and innovation for climate adaptation, resilience, and sustainable development.
  • Foster partnerships with governments, UN agencies, research institutions, and development organizations.
  • Highlight successful South-South cooperation initiatives and technology diffusion models for climate action.
  • Engage with stakeholders to advance practical solutions supporting the implementation of the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
